DREAM: Goede Nacht, Betere Dag
A better night. A better day at home.
Night-time restlessness can place enormous pressure on people living with dementia and the family members caring for them. DREAM explored existing and adapted technologies that help older adults sleep better and remain independent at home for longer.
Through participatory design, older adults, people with dementia and informal caregivers identified needs, evaluated possible solutions and tested them in real homes. The work also considered people with limited health literacy, including older migrants and lower-income groups.
The project produced insights and practical recommendations for night and morning support in home care.
