PersOn
Putting people in the decision, not just the data.
Treatment recommendations need to make space for patients’ own expectations and quality-of-life priorities. PersOn investigates how clinical decision support can be kept up to date, explained clearly and integrated into the way care teams actually work.
The programme spans AI, clinical data science, human–computer interaction and clinical practice. Its patient-in-the-loop work invites people to report their health, needs and treatment preferences as inputs to advice, without replacing the clinician’s responsibility.
Research addresses four oncology domains: lung, prostate, stomach and endometrial cancer, alongside technical and regulatory requirements.
